Often snow-cloaked, the spiny summit of Mount Washington makes it the tallest peak in the northeast and the king of the White Mountain Region, an area laced with hiking trails and dotted with quaint little hamlets.
This is a remote natural pond that currently is not stocked. The pond historically held brook trout but its status is unknown. The high elevation, shallow water depth make this pond susceptible to both winterkill and acid conditions. The pond is accessible from Crawford Notch via the Ethan Pond Trail (2.4 mile hike).
