Often snow-cloaked, the spiny summit of Mount Washington makes it the tallest peak in the northeast and the king of the White Mountain Region, an area laced with hiking trails and dotted with quaint little hamlets.
This is a remote pond accessible by trail (2 mile hike) from the end of the Zealand River Road. The pond is no longer stocked but is still classified a trout pond. It is uncertain whether the pond holds wild brook trout.
