Often snow-cloaked, the spiny summit of Mount Washington makes it the tallest peak in the northeast and the king of the White Mountain Region, an area laced with hiking trails and dotted with quaint little hamlets.
This is an artificial pond created by a impoundment of the Mad River in Campton. The pond was stocked for an early season trout fishery in past years, but is predominantly a warmwater fishery in the summer months. No trout stocking has occurred since 1998.
